Let us ask ourselves a simple question in a wholly dispassionate condition of mind, ‘Has the world so far produced a Renunciator of Guru Gobind Singh's stature?’

Loss of four beloved sons and of nearest and dearest disciples had no effect on Guru's equipoise, His serenity. His divine face shone and radiated the same splendour and glory of God. In a congregation of thousands of devotees at Damdama Sahib when enquired about the welfare and whereabouts of their four beloved sons by their mother, the Great Guru in a most inspiring and soul-stirring manner, pointing towards the mammoth congregation, had replied :-

 “Chaar Mooe to Kia Bhaia,
Jivat Kai Hazaar”
‘What if four have died, thousands of your children live’.

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib has owned every devotee, every sikh, as His heir, as His child. We are all His children. Let us all shoulder that responsibility and accountability that befalls our share of inheritance in that lineage with befitting pride and earnestness. Our beloved Satguru is closely watching us otherwise what a wonderful heritage and what a pathetic betrayal.

Let us ask ourselves a simple question in a wholly dispassionate condition of mind, ‘Has the world so far produced a Renunciator of Guru Gobind Singh's stature?’ He watches this world play, this lila of God with what total detachment.

Such is the flavour of the holy lives practically lived by our great and beloved Gurus and their Amrit Bani is filled with eternal fragrance of their lofty ideals flashing before our eyes now.

After having sacrificed everything and after having completed His divine mission, He in all humility as a last touching homage to Sri Guru Nanak Sahib, installs Sri Guru Granth Sahib as the Eternal Guru.
